CT / CAT scan (Computerised Tomography / Computerised Axial Tomography) uses X-rays and a computer to create detailed images of the inside of the body. CT enterolysis (a CT examination of the small bowel) is a non-invasive way of looking inside your small bowel and abdomen, using special X-ray equipment and a computer. MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of the inside of the body. Xray scans are images resulting from the rate at which the energy fr of the body absorb at different rates. Dense parts of your body that X as clear white areas on the image. Softer parts that X-rays can pass darker areas. They are mainly used to look at the bones and joints. USS (UltraSound Scan) uses high-frequency sound waves to creat area to be scanned and a handheld probe is then placed and moved used during pregnancy.
