BOOK OF SONGS - VOLUME II: THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT | JORDAN WOODALL
GRANDMA WOODALL
Thank God for the butterfly, which consistently reminds me of you. I hope people will get to know you through my lens and voice. And then whenever they see a butterfly, they will think of you too!
I dedicate this book to Grandma and PaPa Woodall. I will always love you.

Trip to Louisville
INTRODUCTION
After Grandma Woodall passed away in the early spring of 2024, I felt a profound change within myself. I decided to create a book and planned a trip to Louisville, Kentucky. Initially, I intended to go alone, but soon after, I invited my sister who happily accepted. Why Louisville? Well, our family has visited Louisville before at various stages of our lives. This was my fourth visit and my sister’s third. It felt different because it was the first time we were visiting without a large family gathering or the presence of Grandma. It’s remarkable how time has passed, yet so many memories of this city remain fresh. During this visit, we cherished old memories and created new ones. I am grateful to the City of Louisville for preserving the charm my family has loved for decades.

BOOK OF SONGS - VOLUME II : WOODAJOR
My Grandma Woodall is the reason I can bring you this music today. She gave me the piano keyboard that I use in my videos, and it’s practically the only keyboard I’ve ever owned. I have great memories of this gift from Grandma. But it’s because of that gift, alongside my parents taking me to piano lessons, that I developed a genuine love for the piano and explored what music could be. My Grandma loved butterflies, and you could tell it was a genuine love because you could see it in all areas of her life. In her eulogy, my dad said there were so many butterflies on the walls of her home that he counted 20 in the living room alone. There were also butterflies in the kitchen, dining room, and bathroom. She also loved her grandkids and poured everything she could into us. As much as she loved butterflies, she loved us even more. This book is a tribute to my grandma and the impact she had on my life. Through its pages, you’ll get a glimpse into what it was like to be loved by her. She truly was a gift, and I will be forever grateful for her presence in my life.

Heart Full of Love
INTRO
As I reflect back on my life, one of the most influential people was my grandma. She was an exceptional human being who always went out of her way to help others. She was an active member in the community and at church, and her dedication to service was truly inspiring. In addition to her community involvement, my grandma was the glue that held our family together. Her love was consistent and dependable, and she always made sure that everyone felt valued and appreciated. She was the embodiment of unconditional love, always there to offer a listening ear or a warm embrace.

Never Alone
TUESDAY, APRIL 11, 2024
This heartfelt dedication is to my grandpa, who had the privilege of being married to my grandma for nearly 62 years. In these trying times, it can be hard to find comfort. However, this song serves as a beacon of hope for my grandpa and reminds him that he is never alone. The lyrics offer encouragement and support. As I jot down these reflections today, the rain is pouring outside, and it fills me with joy and gratitude. I believe that every drop of rain is a reminder of God’s presence in our lives. Even in the darkest of times, He sends us signs that He is watching over us. In this sense, the rain is a symbol of hope and a reminder that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

When It’s This Good
A MEMORY
During my childhood, family reunions were an event that we looked forward to with great anticipation. My grandma was always in charge of designing and ordering the shirts we would wear for the occasion. My grandparents had two heat presses, which they would use to manually print, press, and package each shirt with great care and attention to detail. My dad eventually took on the role of the family graphic designer and created a unique shirt design tailored specifically to the place we were traveling to. Eventually, my dad passed the baton to me, and I became responsible for designing the shirts. Every year, I would send my grandma the design, and she would call me to express how much she loved it.

Loved By You
OUTRO
I’m blessed, even in the toughest of situations. I went to visit my grandparents in March. I wanted them to sign my first book, and they were both amazed and proud when I showed it to them. We spent a beautiful Saturday afternoon together, and my grandma offered to make brunch. I’m grateful that I accepted the offer because I got to spend quality time with her, not just as her grandson, but human-to- human. Even though I struggled with getting wifi reception, they both waited patiently to listen to the songs. My grandpa signed the book for both of them. My first book is a lasting item my grandparents signed together, and it holds a special place in my heart.

BOOK OF SONGS - VOLUME II : WOODAJOR
This section of the book features some of my favorite songs from the past. It’s interesting how frequently I revisit my past recordings, as each song gives me a glimpse into who I was then. The songs included in this section are the ones I love and believe my grandparents would also love. I hope you enjoy these songs in the same way that I think my grandparents would.
