When It’s This Good
A MEMORY
During my childhood, family reunions were an event that we looked forward to with great anticipation. My grandma was always in charge of designing and ordering the shirts we would wear for the occasion. My grandparents had two heat presses, which they would use to manually print, press, and package each shirt with great care and attention to detail. My dad eventually took on the role of the family graphic designer and created a unique shirt design tailored specifically to the place we were traveling to. Eventually, my dad passed the baton to me, and I became responsible for designing the shirts. Every year, I would send my grandma the design, and she would call me to express how much she loved it.
