(1) THE PLACE OF PRAYER, vs. 39-44: “And being in an agony, he prayed more earnestly.” It has been suggested th a t th e Garden of Gethsemane belonged to a friend of Jesus and had become a try sting place ' fo r the disciples who loved th e Lord. It was a convenient place to which to retire for sleep and rest. To us, th e name always suggests the place where He prayed— a place conse­ crated to prayer and fellowship w ith the F a th e r; a place made sacred and holy by th e memory of many seasons of quiet waiting upon the F ath e r; seasons of refreshing for th e soul. Here, no doubt, Jesus trained the dis­ ciples fo r th e ir fu tu re work. Here,
