THE K I N G ' S B U S I N E S S W hat does the th ird verse of the first chapter of this Gospel of John tell us about Jesus? (All things were made by Him.) If Jesus made the world and every thing in it, then He can surely do w hat ever He wants to do w ith th e things He has made. Memory Verse.— “Jesus said unto him, Go thy way, th y son liveth. The T h irst fo r Forgiveness. Man is a conscious sinner. All the efforts of the teachers or leaders of religious cults cannot eradicate th e consciousness of sin. I t is inw rought in th e very fiber of his being, and every system of reli gion proves it. There is the conscious knowledge of God (or god s); th ere is the conscious knowledge of violated law. Sin is a heavy load upon the heart. Something must be done. Sin separates from God. The sinner knows th a t he must meet God. I t is a fearfu l thing to be a t w ar w ith God, to fall in to "His hands (Heb. 1 0 :31 ). W ar is hell, and the sinner who is a t w ar w ith God lives in hell.
Did the nobleman believe th a t his son was healed? How did he find out th a t th e boy was healed a t th e very time th a t Jesus said, “Your son is healed” ? (vs. 51, 52, 53.) The servants told him th a t his son began to get b etter at the seventh hour, or 1:00 o’clock according to our way of reckoning time, the day before, th e very hou r th a t Jesus had said, “Thy son liv- eth .” Then the fa th e r was sure th a t Jesus had healed his boy, and he and his whole fam ily believed on Jesus. Do you believe th a t Jesus is able to do all things? Golden Text: “And we believe and are sure th a t thou a rt th a t Christ, the Son of th e living God.” (John 6:69.) Theme: Jesus th e Christ. In this lesson we are to view Jesus as the Christ. Ow ing to the hatred of th e Jewish leaders, the desertion of many of His disciples, and His announcement th a t Judas was to betray Him, he left Judea for Galilee un til the tim e of the F east of Taber nacles, when he retu rn ed to Jerusalem .
