Lots of changes are happening in health care. The health care reform law, called the Afford- able Care Act, was passed by our government in 2010.The law makes health insurance available to more people, so more people will be able to get the care they need. That’s great news. And starting March 31, 2014, most people will need to have health insurance coverage. De- pending on your situation, you may even be able to get help paying for your health plan. Please note that if you are 65 and older and have Medicare, you do not need to worry about coverage through the Affordable Care Act. and You !
The NCHHealthcare System is col- laborating with Florida Blue to pro- vide you with facts about the health
care law and what options are available to you. To help answer your questions and potentially enroll, Florida Blue is sponsoring a free Enrollment Fair. It will be fun for the whole family! Enjoy fruit smoothies and coffees, face painting and a balloon artist, plus free give-aways while supplies last. You will be able to meet with a Florida Blue insurance specialist and receive assistance from a CertifiedApplication Counselor or a Navigator. Please see the information in the box to the right for documents you need to enroll.
DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO ENROLL • Your income tax information from the previous year • The number of dependents you claim • The birth dates and Social Security Numbers for everyone who will be covered (or document number if you are a legal immigrant) • Information about any health insurance provided by an employer on your taxes • Your zip code
