And we have good suppliers: we sometimes have very rare cigars, mainly from Cuba, but also from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. I'm a cigar aficionado. When I travelled around, I saw cigar bars springing up all over the place, in the hotels and palaces; it's becoming a trend. We were a little ahead of the game at Maradiva. When a cigar is good, I enjoy smoking it, the origin is not a problem, but I'm more used to smoking Cuban cigars. The type of cigar you choose often depends on the moment; some- times you prefer it full-bodied, sometimes lighter. Stored in the right conditions, it ages well, like wine: a cigar improves with age. All that's left is to enjoy it. At Maradiva, we're lucky enough to offer a number of pleasant, airy spaces in which to smoke while enjoying a rum, whisky or cognac.
