On her reason to participate, Rebecca said “I have decided to participate because I wanted to raise money for such a purposeful cause. It’s an avenue for me to do something challenging with a purpose, that will hopefully have an impact on kids in need. Reading all the amazing work Variety does every year inspired me to do my part and hopefully it inspires others to do the same. A big shout out to Two Folk Espresso for sponsoring my ride and helping support this amazing fundraiser.” Rebecca has raised over $2000 already thanks to the generous support of friends, family, and customers.

Funds raised will contribute to a number of programs including Variety’s Kids Sports Days. Held across the state, these free come-and-try days give kids of all abilities the chance to try sports – often for the first time. “Last year Variety helped 7140 children across Tasmania, thanks to community fundraising events such as Spin4Kids. This year we’re aiming to raise $20,000 on the day to help us continue expanding our support to more Tassie kids, particularly as more and more families are seeking our assistance because of the increased cost of living,” Variety Tasmania CEO, Mohammad Aldergham said. The Variety School Breakfast Club is another major priority for funding. Currently, Variety is funding 22 schools so they can offer breakfast to their students every single school day.
