Listen for the Whispers of Ovarian Cancer Ovarian cancer is often called the “silent” cancer because early symptoms can be subtle and easy to miss. Paying attention to your body’s whispers could make all the difference.
Symptoms and signs of ovarian cancer vary from woman to woman, but they may include:
Pelvic or abdominal pain or pressure. Persistent bloating or swelling. Changes in bowel or bladder habits. Unexplained vaginal bleeding. Lower back pain. Pain during intercourse. If these symptoms persist for more than 2-3 weeks, talk with your doctor. Take charge of your health. If something doesn’t feel right, don’t wait – get it checked.
