with oaths and curses told us they didn’t want us. The next week, how­ ever, we went back, not to hold a ser vice but to have a heart-to-heart talk with the men Who were so bitterly op­ posed to us. The whole noon hour was spent in meeting their objections and the little talk ended with an invita­ tion from them for us to return and preach. Wednesday after Wednesday the message has been taken to them. Over two and one half years have pass­ ed and now God has raised up one of the most enthusiastic audiences we have had the privilege of speaking to. Occa- sionly we are delayed by the heavy traffic in reaching our place of meeting and on such occasions we are met with a chorus of voices, saying, “ You’re late; we’ve been waiting for you.” As we think of the crowd that we spoke to that first day, and see them as they are now, we conclude that the day of mira­ cles is not past. The way they sit and listen and drink in the Word is a miracle in itself. Then, too, we see several faces of those who have passed from death unto life. The history of this work is the history of many places to which we are going from day to, day.

Reynolds, Superintendent. ■ N this issue there is a picture of a group of people gathered for a shop meeting in one of the factories of the city. The history of the work at this shop ds intensely interesting, for it is really the history of great Satanic op­ position to the work and a marvelous display of God’s mighty power which always brings victory. Several years ago this particular factory work was started, but the op­ position was so strong and the men be­ came so bitterly opposed to the work that it was discontinued. Upon taking over the Shop Work, however, the Lord laid the burden upon us for this place and we were led to start services there again. Taking with us a singer, we endeavored to sing a few songs and give them .a message. However, the coldness and indifference were too great and at the close a crowd gathered and
