This will include recruitment, scheduling and completing participant interviews, participant observation, guided/meditation and visualization and observation of participant yoga classes at Inner Sun Yoga Studio in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Research Description: This project will explore relationality as it is conceptualized and operationalized within one Yoga Studio in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The focus of research is on assessing whether and how these Yoga instructors and practitioners connect Yoga with enrichment of regenerative/sustainable selves and relationality. This research treats yoga as performativity and will explore the ways philosophical and physical practice of yoga is conceptualized, and intended to cultivate relationality in the continuum between practitioner’s her/his interiority and exteriority. Rationale for Committee: The composition of this committee include Dr. Parajuli who is indigenous to Nepal and understands alternative philosophies and regenerative perspectives. Dr. Uselman brings considerable knowledge and expertise of alternative health and wellness modalities. Dr. Bueno has experience as a Yoga Instructor/Practitioner and recognizes the need for incorporating embodied learning to the classroom. All members have experience in higher education and regenerative perspectives.
