Area of research: I would like to study sustainability pedagogy in higher education with an emphasis on upper general education courses designated as sustainability courses. I am curious about pedagogical approaches for teaching sustainability that foster a transformative learning experience. I envision Dr. Lange as a mentor for my literature review in the area of sustainability in higher education and transformative learning through sustainability pedagogy. I envision Dr. Hale and the Center for Teaching & Learning as a research collaboration exploring content & skills taught in upper general education courses designated as sustainability courses. I envision Dr. Burns mentoring me as I discover the relational ontology of sustainability pedagogy to advancing sustainably minded learners as measured by STARS reporting.
