Independent Operations: Work autonomously to manage the day-to-day operations of facility systems with minimal supervision. Maintain a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they arise and implementing solutions to avoid costly repairs or system failures. Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or when equipment replacement is required. Review service contracts, monitor vendor performance, and ensure compliance with agreed-upon standards and timelines. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including equipment inspections, servicing, and repairs. Provide detailed reports on the condition of systems and any recommendations for improvements or replacements. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all systems comply with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards. Conduct regular safety inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification or formal training in HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, or related fields preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role, with hands-on experience in commercial and residential HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and building automation. Skills: Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, and building automation technologies. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to resolve equipment failures and system malfunctions.
Ability to manage and execute preventive maintenance schedules independently. Comfortable working with and managing building automation systems (BAS). Experience working independently and managing a wide range of maintenance tasks.
Ability to operate diagnostic tools and equipment for various facility systems. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure. Certifications (Preferred but not required): EPA Certification for Refrigerants HVAC Technician Certifications (e.g., NATE, HVAC Excellence) Electrical or Plumbing Licenses (where applicable) Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor as required. Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, elevated areas, and areas with varying temperatures.
