RESTAURANTS ET COMMERCES NON-ESSENTIELS AFFECTÉS

PATRICK HACIKYAN patrick.hacikyan@eap.on.ca

Premier Doug Ford has put Ontario back into lockdown in an effort to stem the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in the province. “Things are extremely serious now and I am extremely concerned,” said Premier Ford, during an April 7 afternoon virtual news conference. The premier announced a new state of emergency would be in effect at noon April 8 and last for a four-week period. That includes a “stay at home” order with a ban on all non-essential travel. “Our plan is to get needles in arms,” he said, “and to protect our hospitals.” Stay at home The new lockdown is similar to the first one in spring 2020 when the provincial

RECHERCHE WANTED

Take notice that the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury will hold a public meeting on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. virtually in order to consider a proposed Amendment to Zoning By-law No 20-2018 under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13. The purpose of the application is to rezone the subject land from Open Space (OS) to Residential Zone 3 (R3) and to add the use of Stacked Townhouse as well as adding a definition of Stacked Townhouse in said by-law. The developer proposes four (4) residential buildings comprising 8 units each, for a total of 32 residential condo type units. The Zoning By-law Amendment application will be specific to the property located at the south-east side of Chartrand Avenue, described as being Part of Lots 13 & 14, Concession 1, Broken Front, in the Town of Hawkesbury, County of Prescott. If a person or public body would otherwise have the ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury before the zoning by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury before the zoning by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so. Following the Public Health guidelines, this meeting will take place virtually in order to comply with the current health rules.
