PROGRAM OVERVIEW Through innovative programs and community-focused initiatives, UCPNB provided meaningful employment, specialized education, and recreational opportunities to empower individuals with disabilities.
Marin Day Program: Our Marin Day Program offers tailored support to individuals in the MarCounty area, focusing on skill development, social interaction, and community engagement. Participants are involved in a range of activities that enhance their daily living skills, foster personal growth, and provide opportunities for social connections. OADS: OADS provides a range of services to support adults with developmental disabilities. Our programs include paid work opportunities, adult education, employment training, and recreational activities both on-site and in the community. In addition, OADS partners with local businesses in Sonoma County to provide work crews during program hours, offering participants hands-on experience in real-world job settings . Petaluma Recycling Center: At the Petaluma Recycling Center, individuals participate in processing recyclable materials, gaining important skills while contributing to environmental sustainability efforts. This program focuses on training participants to sort, handle, and process recyclable items. Some individuals take on leadership roles within the center, assisting with community outreach or overseeing certain tasks. This program fosters a sense of purpose and environmental stewardship, while also offering vocational training. Senior Adult Day Program: Our Senior Adult Day Program provides a variety of site-based and community based recreation, adult education, and wellness activities for adults, ages 50 and over, with developmental disabilities. The program offers a retirement option for senior adults that may have worked previously or participated in programs that no longer meet their aging needs or activity choices. Volunteer Programs: Our Volunteer Programs engage community members who support UCP of the North Bay’s initiatives. Volunteers assist with program delivery, organize events, and help with day-to-day operations. These programs help strengthen community connections and enrich the experience for participants. Volunteers may assist in various roles, from administrative tasks to leading recreational activities, thus expanding the organization’s impact. WineBev Services: WineBev Services provides packaging, labeling, and assembly work for the wine industry. Through comprehensive job training and staffing opportunities, participants gain valuable skills in production work, including assembly of wine packaging, labeling, and shipping. The program enhances job readiness and offers real-world experience, while preparing individuals for employment in both the wine industry and other manufacturing fields.
