From Page 11. “Horace is renowned and widely respect- ed for his important example and for his contri butions to agriculture – and for the love of agriculture that he has passed onto his children.” Tish Nicholson, a life-long volunteer, dedi- cates tremendous time and energy to orga- nizing events and no detail goes unnoticed. “Tish is an energetic and dedicated fund- raiser; she has collected significant funds to allow three individuals from the riding

to receive cancer treatment. A familiar face in nursing homes, she continues to volun- teer with seniors and visit palliative care patients. When she turns 60 this spring, she will be celebrating 50 years of volunteerism.” George Currier, who was a Maxville coun- cillor for more than 30 years, has champi- oned causes that matter to his community. He has coached minor hockey in Maxville for 15 years, volunteered with the Maxville Recreation Association for the past 20 years, and has served with the Maxville and Dis- trict Lions Club for the past 39 years.
