BROCKVILLE | Ontario Education Min- ister Laurel Broten must ensure that the ongoing labour strife ends before it causes any further problems for the school system, contends Upper Canada District School Board chair Greg Piet- ersma. As of December 10, teachers in the re- gion were to begin taking action to pro- test salary freezes contained in conten- tious legislation. In a statement issued last week, Piet- ersma said, “There will be labour disrup- tions and our schools will suffer. BROCKVILLE | Veteran trustee Greg Piet- ersma has received a vote of confidence from his colleagues who have re-elected him for another term as chair of the Up- per Canada District School Board.
