To whom it may concern,
My name is Rovina Subryan. I am a grade 7/8 HSP teacher at Eastview P. S. I have been involved with ME to WE for the past 5 years, and have been running it at my school for the past 4. I have enjoyed being a part of ME to WE due to the impact that the organization has on a micro and macro level. It has been amazing to see how my students have changed and become more critical thinkers based on the campaigns and conversations that they have been exposed to. Outside of the classroom/ school, many of my students have changed the way they live their daily lives and are working towards making gradual changes in their community. I personally value the impact that ME to WE makes on different countries. Through attending sessions at the WE Centre, videos, and conversations, it has been so inspiring to see how much work is actually happening to teach communities how to function long term. A huge benefit of the program has been the free resources for teachers and students. By having access to the campaign booklets, posters, and online info, we all have key information right at our fingertips. For my school, we have used the posters and information to inform and teach the students and community about the different pillars and the impact that WE has been making. Also, the staff at my school love having access to the free resources to use in their classrooms.
I feel very privileged to be able to bring the WE campaigns into Eastview P. S. to teach our students, staff and community how they can change their local and global communities.
