Cedarhurst Senior Living’s Dining Services Directors gathered in St. Charles, Missouri, for the fourth annual SEATD (Skill Enhancement and Team Development) Retreat—an energizing two-day training experience designed to elevate culinary skills and strengthen team collaboration. Hosted at the Sysco Distribution Center, the retreat featured hands-on learning modules covering mixology, baking techniques, soup and sauce preparation, kitchen safety and sanitation with Ecolab, and Cedarhurst’s inaugural Culinary Teams Competition. The retreat’s rotating module format provided Dining Services Directors with practical, in-depth exposure to essential culinary foundations.
Support from valued partners, including DiningRD, Navigator, Gordon Food Service, Sunny Sky, and Ecolab, helped enhance the experience and expand learning opportunities. The event concluded with a lively celebration and SEATD Awards Ceremony, bringing together laughter, connection, and well-deserved recognition.
