West Coast Showcase N ew for 2026, NSRA will be offering a West Coast Showcase dur- ing the Western Street Rod Nationals featuring some of the area’s latest custom builds, including street rods, custom trucks and Leadsleds. Differing from the “Builders’ Showcase” at the Street Rod Nationals, this Showcase will not only be open to commercial builders, but also to the home builder. All is needed is an exceptional vehicle you would like to show off and display indoors for the week- end. For the first year, NSRA is shooting for a dozen entries to start with. All entries should be e-mailed to nsramikea@gmail.com for con- sideration. Entries should include pictures of the vehicle and com- plete contact information. For more information, contact Event Director Mike Adams. Remember, only 12 vehicles will be selected for the first year, so don’t wait until the last minute to send in an entry. New Alcohol & Glass Bottle Policy Starting in 2026 the Kern County Fairgrounds “new” Alcohol poli- cy will go into effect. We can’t emphasize this enough!! This is not an NSRA policy, this is a Kern County Fairgrounds policy. For NSRA to continue holding the Western Street Rod Nationals at this facility, we all must adhere to this new policy going forward. NSRA appreci- ates your understanding and are sorry for any inconvenience this may create. The new policy states: No Outside Alcohol —The introduction of alcohol from outside the fairgrounds is strictly prohibited. All patrons and participants must adhere to this policy. Vehicle Inspections —All vehicles entering the fairgrounds are subject to inspection by event staff. This includes checks for unau- thorized alcohol. Alcohol Discovery —If any alcohol is found within a vehicle upon inspection, the patron must immediately surrender the alcohol to event staff. The alcohol will be disposed of in accordance with event policies. Glass Bottles Prohibited —ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS BOTTLES are permitted on the fairgrounds. Any glass bottles discovered during inspections or throughout the event will be confiscated and dis- posed of.
