ALAYNA HOLCOMB Alayna Holcomb out of Heathsville, Virginia, has been going to car shows with her grandfather since she was four and now not only loves old cars of all kinds, but is cruising to shows in her ’67 Chevrolet Chevelle she bought from a private seller. Alayna and grandfather Rusty have only had time to make the Chevy safe, but it came with some good equipment like the 300hp 327 wearing an Edelbrock induction system, a TH350 automatic, a totally stock chassis with Goodyear-wrapped Rally wheels, Butternut Yellow basecoat/clearcoat paint, the stock black vinyl interior with buckets, and Vintage Air AC/heat/defrost. The Chevelle looks like a great time, and if we know grampa Rusty, then we know changes are coming.
ELIZABETH RESH Elizabeth Resh out of Fayetteville, Alabama, got her ’87 Chevrolet C10 at the tender age of 14 from her parents as her first car/project. After 13 years of ownership and in Elizabeth’s own words, “I will never sell the truck, you will have to pry the keys out from my cold dead fingers.” She daily drove the hauler through high school, college and now to work, but sadly the truck got into an accident in 2022. Elizabeth got the truck fixed and now the Custom Deluxe features a factory 305ci engine with Turbo 400 automatic, bodywork by Roger’s Body Shop and brilliant white paint by Fred’s Body Shop. John Perez installed the blue fabric interior featuring factory air conditioner and pink fuzzy dice. We love your passion and hope you keep coming back for years.
GRACE HUDSON Grace Hudson out of Paragould, Arkansas, got her ’70 Ford F150 4WD from her father who got it from his grandfather, who bought the truck new. The old Ranger pickup features a built 351ci small-block Ford (SBF) with a big cam, Holley 650 and stainless headers. The pickup runs full-time four-wheel drive and a C6 tranny. The perfect patina paint is by mother nature while Grace re-did the interior in red with fuzzy dice and her boyfriend, Chris Bateman, wired it all together. The 33-inch tires on white steelies round out the package that looks like a great time, and we hope to see you and Chris for years to come.
CLAYTON WIRTH Clayton Wirth from Robertsdale, Alabama, built his sweet ’23 Dodge Type A as best he could with the parts he had. To us this rod screams early to mid- ’70s with the stance, rear tires poking out from the fenders on chrome steelies with baby moons, and black Naugahyde interior. The old Mopar runs a Chevy 355 with a built TH350, a Mustang II IFS (would have been a Corvair back in the day), and a Chevy rear differential. Clayton got the car from his grandfather, but did the build with the help of his dad Eric. We love it and can’t wait to see what’s next.
