BREED COMPOSITION LEGEND Since the majority of the bulls in our offering are composite cattle, we want to provide clarity on the breed abbreviations used in their pedigrees: SM = % Registered Simmental CS* = % Commercial Simmental AN = % Angus AR = % Red Angus *What does Commercial Simmental (CS) mean? Simmental percentages are differentiated between registered and commercial based on the registration status of animals within the pedigree, not on genetic merit. Animals shown with parentheses around their ASA numbers are classified as commercial, even though they may be fully eligible for registration. The CS designation reflects pedigree registration status and should be interpreted in the context of the bull’s complete performance and genetic information as presented. In this catalog, we listed the full percentage of Simmental that’s in their pedigree. COAT COLOR AND POLLED STATUS: Please note that all of our black bulls are homozygous black and homozygous polled. The majority of our reds are homozygous polled. Homozygous Black – you will get all black hided calves; Homozygous Polled - you will not have any horned calves.
