College Captains

As Term 1 comes to a close, we have a lot to reflect upon. It feels like only a few weeks ago that 2024 began, and now we are already one quarter through the school year. We are both so grateful for the enthusiasm with which each and every member of our College community has embraced this first term. ”

The everyday moments of kindness and positivity displayed by members of our community are never unnoticed, from students cheering others on from the sidelines at the swimming and cross-country carnivals to the hard work and dedication of those involved in activities such as debating, the DaVinci Decathlon and the Rostrum public speaking competition. The effort that these events require is monumental, and we are so thankful for the teachers who devote their time to ensuring that students have the opportunity to participate in these events. As we both enter our final year of schooling, our Year 12 cohort has been kept busy with plenty of homework and assessment tasks.

Whilst this is an incredible tumultuous time in the lives of the cohort, this term has only seen our year group grow closer, accompanied by the unwavering support of our teachers and other staff to whom we are forever appreciative. We are also incredibly proud of the overwhelming support of the Mark Hughes Foundation, Year 12’s chosen charity, of which we have currently raised over $10 000 to create awareness and support for brain cancer patients and their families, providing much needed funds for research. 2024 has been off to a flying start and we are so excited to see what the remainder of the year brings.
