of Christianity as the only true re ligion. Someone was asked to give the proof of Christianity in one word. ITe answered immediately, “The Jew. ’ Think of how God has preserved the Jewish race down through the cen turies ; it has been true with no other group of people. This is even more significant when we realize that they have not had a country that they could call their own for almost 2,500 years. Mohammedanism, Buddhism, Confu cianism have done nothing for uplift ing mankind. No wonder Paul wrote, “And you hath he quickened (made alive), who were dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1). At Biola College we pay great re spect for men of science who are delv ing into the areas of the physical world in which we live. It is only when the scientists leave their own sphere and begin to philosophise or theorise on some implications they find in sci ence that problems arise. Such is true with the utterly false and unprovable hypothesis of evolution. We teach biology, physics and other areas of science at Biola. In addition there are courses in chemistry, par ticularly designed for those who are going into nurses’ training. Q , Chowchilla, California — “How much of the offerings did the Israelites eat themselves of the animals which they offered?” A. In the book of Leviticus, the first five chapters give us the various offer- ings. Chapters 6 and 7 present the laws of the offerings, which includes

Q. Gold Beach, Oregon — “Despite what you say, I don’t believe Moses had two wives. Where does this idea come from?” A. We know Moses had one wife which is indicated in Exodus 2:21. In Numbers 12, Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married. If we take this women to be Zipporah, then Moses would have one wife. It would be an extension of the usual significance of the name “Cushite,” however, 'so to do. If it was Zipporah, it would be a late hour for Miriam and Aaron to be finding fault with Moses. It is a question we can ask him when we get to glory. Q , San Francisco, California — “How can I answer my boy friend who says we cannot be sure that Christianity is true because religion cannot be proved by science?” A. Some of the surest things in life cannot be proven by science. Science, is the method of discovering, correlat ing, and revealing facts. Yet there are many areas of science which men of one generation believed to be absolute ly true, and yet those in succeeding generations have discovered to be false and even ridiculous. Science does not even seem to have the last word in mathematics. Two times two does not always equal four. For a person to make science his god will prove most embarrassing. Christianity is tru e , however, not on a basis of being able to prove it by science, but on a basis of being able to demonstrate it in human lives. The Word of God speaks
