NPORTC 2025

Central to the program's success are the tools and skills pro- vided to help clients sustain their recovery. Relapse Prevention is a key focus, teaching individuals to recognize warning signs, develop proactive strategies, and navigate high-risk situations. Clients also learn valuable Coping Skills to manage stress, anxi- ety, and other difficult emotions without resorting to substance use. Recognizing the common co-occurrence of mental health is- sues and addiction, Mental Health Therapy is an integral part of the IOP. This provides clients with the opportunity to address any underlying mental health conditions that may contribute to their substance use, promoting a more holistic approach to healing. Medication Management, including the use of medi- cations like Suboxone, is also available to address withdrawal symptoms, cravings, and other physical aspects of addiction.

The IOP also incorporates a range of supportive services, including Resources and Referrals, which assist clients in accessing essential services such as employment assistance, housing support, and financial aid. Lastly, a comprehensive Discharge/Aftercare Plan is developed to ensure a smooth transition back into the community, offering ongoing sup- port and guidance to maintain long-term sobriety. NPORTC's IOP is more than just a program; it is a sup- portive community. By carefully weaving together clinical expertise, peer support, and practical assistance, NPORTC empowers individuals to rebuild their lives, one connection, one coping skill, and one day at a time. It is a place where broken threads are transformed into a tapestry of hope, re- silience, and renewed purpose.
