WHATEVER THE JOB REQUIRES Unique, Memorable Experiences

At Allied Restoration, we’re not just contractors. We’re problem solvers. We pride ourselves on meeting the individual needs of our clients, which means there’s never a cookie-cutter approach to the work we do. We treat each property as distinct and relish the process of finding creative solutions. All of our employees know that they can’t rely on past experience alone to get the job done. The necessity for differentiation is defined by one of our service values:

We sat down with the client to discuss viable methods for finding the ducts. Some of our ideas were pretty crazy. One person suggested a 40-foot selfie stick, and we even joked about climbing one of the art pieces that resembled a staircase. Eventually, we hit upon a possible answer: a drone. We contacted the premier drone pilot in the area (you don’t want an amateur flying around million-dollar paintings) and asked if he could come take a look. With his remote

I am empowered to create unique, memorable, and personal experiences for our clients. To give you a sense of how this works in practice, I want to share a story from a recent job we did. A local art gallery we were doing restoration for needed to have their air ducts cleaned. The space had 40-foot ceilings and was filled with

in hand, he was on site just a couple of days later. He was able to maneuver a drone into position and take photos of the air duct pathways. Not only did this accomplish our goal without scaffolding, but it became a memorable experience for us and the client.

“We sat down with the client to discuss viable methods for finding the ducts. Some of our ideas were pretty crazy. One person suggested a 40- foot selfie stick and we even joked about climbing one of the art pieces that resembled a staircase. Eventually, we hit upon a possible answer: a drone.”

might be enough for some restoration companies, but it doesn’t cut it here at Allied. Some people might regard this constant need to adapt as a nuisance, but we see it as a joy. We have the privilege of working with experts from fields that don’t relate to restoration on the surface, and we never get complacent. How many restoration companies get to hire a safecracker to open a Prohibition-era safe found in the floor of a house? How many have a drone pilot’s number in their phonebook? For us, unique experiences are part of what make our job so interesting, and we can’t see a day where we won’t be discovering something new on every job. There’s no answer key when it comes to restoring premier properties, so we have to come up with strategies on the fly. We wouldn’t want it any other way.

Staff members even turned out to watch the drone fly around the gallery. When you work on unique properties, you cannot expect to copy- and-paste techniques. A lot of houses we work on were designed by iconic architects and built to a client’s specifications. During our years of working on some of Southern California’s most incredible homes, we’ve seen everything from bowling alleys to wine cellars. Expecting drywall and plaster

one-of-a-kind art installations, so we weren’t even sure where the ducts were. Scaffolding wasn’t an option because previous scaffolding had damaged the floor of the gallery. At this point, most restoration companies would throw their hands up and say “not my job.” Our team, on the other hand, was excited to find a way.
