Here we have the natural calf out of our newest donor, 9159G, who is also the dam to the $50,000 Bold Ruler bull. We purchased 9159G on the 2025 National Gelbvieh Sale along with Covington Gelbvieh and Plateau Gelbvieh for $28,000. We think the world of this cow and she’ll have a huge influence on our program over the next few years. We have at least 13 calves coming out of her this spring with another big group of embryos implanted back in November. If you’re looking for outcross genetics with elite carcass value, give this bull a hard look. There are only 5 other active purebred Gelbvieh bulls in the breed that will be offered for sale this sale season that can match his marbling EPD (and 1 of them sells as lot 66 in this very sale), so needless to say, he’s in rarified air.
