to have that ‘boutique-feel’, and I want people to know that anybody is welcome. I am aiming to price pieces so that there are affordable options for a young mom, seniors and any age in between!” Rebecca is proud to be part of the downtown core, in her cozy Talbot Street nook: “I love the downtown, and the quaint feeling here. I love hear- ing the City Hall bell, and am looking forward to the foot traffic. I want to be part of something bigger, with Nostalgia Nights, Downtown Shop Hop and more; I am interested in collaborating with other local businesses.” Ori- ginally from London and hav- ing moved around for work, Rebecca voices, “We love living in St. Thomas. I feel very supported. We like it here, this is home to me.”
As Rebecca concludes, the name ‘BEX Styles’ derives from Rebecca’s ‘Bexstang’, which she looks forward to cruising in this summer. To this, Rebecca reveals that she will be interested in building her team as the seasons change. Another goal of Rebecca’s involves facilitating a rendition of Tie It Tuesdays, Wrap it Wednesdays and so forth. These will be in-store demonstrations, exemplifying ways in which an array of fabrics can be styled. BEX Styles is located at 578 Talbot Street. Asked what excites Rebecca about this journey, she enthusiastically responds, “The people; I love helping ladies feel good about themselves. I hope that my customers will leave feeling more confident. It brings me joy when others feel good!”
