That’s where the Save on Energy program comes in. Save on Energy is the trusted mark of energy-efficiency programs offered by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). Since 2011, the program has supported more than 400,000 homes and businesses across Ontario, helping save nearly 19 terawatt-hours of electricity, enough to power a city the size of Ottawa for more than two years. For Entegrus customers, the Save on Energy program offers accessible incentives and expert guidance to make energy- efficient upgrades more affordable and achievable. For Homeowners One of the most popular options is the Home Renovation Savings program. This program provides rebates on a wide range of upgrades, including: cold climate air source heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, ground source heat pumps, solar panels and battery storage, smart thermostats, windows and doors, insulation and air sealing and energy-efficient appliances Homeowners can choose flexible pathways, including options that do not require a home energy assessment for certain upgrades. Rebates can total thousands of dollars, helping families improve year-round comfort while lowering electricity use. For income-eligible households, the Energy Affordability Program provides free energy-saving upgrades, appliances,

and kits. Both renters and homeowners may qualify, making energy efficiency accessible to more families. For Businesses Energy efficiency is a smart investment for local businesses. The Retrofit Program offers incentives covering up to 50 per cent of project costs for equipment upgrades or large-scale operational improvements. Businesses can apply through either a Prescriptive stream for standard upgrades or a Custom stream for more complex projects. The Expanded Energy Management Program provides additional support, including funding for energy managers (up to $100,000 per year per facility), strategic energy management coaching, and funding for Energy Management Information Systems for industrial facilities. Small businesses can also benefit from the Small Business Program, which offers free on-site assessments and installation of eligible lighting, refrigeration, and HVAC upgrades, along with additional financial incentives (up to $3,000 for eligible energy-efficient lighting upgrades and up to $2,500 for eligible energy-efficient non-lighting upgrades).
