may pose a challenge to the athlete in the form of tactical ability, time management, and balancing between academic and athletic life. Nevertheless, such athletes usually exhibit resilience, creativity, and great problem-solving abilities that increase their performance in sports. Support staff and coaches are essential in providing personalized and multisensory training and in promoting a culture of teamwork. When accommodations are made, athletes will be able to gain confidence, enhance communication, and boost performance. This project focuses on the need to create awareness, acceptance, and special support systems within athletic programs. Sports will help athletes with learning disabilities perform better on and off the field by identifying and addressing their unique learning needs. Aidan Oldham - “Diversity, Equity, and Democracy in Education: Where Does it Fit?” (Poster Session III) Diversity is the unique range of human differences, encompassing characteristics like race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, political beliefs, religion, class, age, physical ability, and more. Equity, on the other hand, is how we as a society treat diversity by providing support and resources to those who may be perceived as less because of their circumstances. It is essential to recognize that not everyone is treated the same, and that our societal actions shape how each person strives to achieve the same goals. In education, classrooms are known for providing a safe place for every student to get those equal opportunities. Politically, people are struggling to figure out where to set the limit for classroom inclusion. This begs the question: where does diversity and equity fit in an educational setting? Where do we draw this line, and who makes that call? Although some believe that open physical representations of diversity in schools cross political lines, fostering inclusion with a focus on culturally responsive teaching strengthens educational knowledge, creates a culturally diverse classroom, and ensures that all students, regardless of identity or background, have equal opportunities to succeed. Ethan Oldman - “UK Football” (Poster Session II) This project explores the structure and progression of English football, focusing on the journey from non-league levels (Step 6) to the Premier League. As an exchange student from the UK and a football player myself, I aim to provide an insider’s perspective on how players, clubs, and communities operate across these divisions. The poster visually presents the English football pyramid, highlighting key differences between each step, including average player wages, attendance figures, and professional status. It also examines the social and financial challenges faced by non-league clubs, where players often balance full-time jobs alongside football. Case studies such as Jamie Vardy’s rise from non-league to Premier League champion illustrate the rare but inspiring opportunities within the system. By combining statistical data, real examples, and personal insight, this project aims to give viewers a deeper understanding of the scale, competitiveness, and cultural significance of English football beyond the top divisions. This advocacy campaign is building an additional avenue of media on typical platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube. In addition to having a typical ‘for you’ page and ‘friends’ page, there would be a page dedicated to innovation and deep learning. Mindstream would provide access to only certified videos and information. People could access Mindstream using a search hub to discover new interests and ideas rather than “brain rot” and misinformation. Additionally, people can express their love for specific topics by becoming a creator and making videos after a required verification process, to prevent the spread of misinformation and to maintain the legitimacy and reliability of the information presented. This is one method people could consume and share exciting knowledge in a safe, legitimate platform to avoid ‘brain rot.’ This advocacy campaign introducing Mindstream will encourage users to get the absolute most out of the amazing technology they have in their hands and use social media better. Kennedy Omey- “Should You Vote In The 2028 Presidential Election?” (Session 3) Voting in an election is considered a civil duty for United States citizens, but does your vote really matter in a presidential election? The electoral college makes the final decision for who becomes our next president and vice president, so why vote? Recent presidential elections have led to the popular vote candidate losing, letting the electoral college decide the president, and not the citizens of the United States. Are we a true democracy if the people of the United States can not even elect their own president? This presentation will examine how the electoral college functions in the United States. Along with the benefits and drawbacks of using the electoral college system in the United States. Additionally, this presentation will assess the possibility of the electoral college overstepping in the United States democracy. So, should the electoral college really get to decide who is our next president, or should the citizens of the United States get complete control?
