Building and Construction Trades The Building and Construction Trades sector introduces students to the world of construction and skilled trades in California. These programs combine academic learning with technical training, giving students the chance to explore careers, build skills, and prepare for future opportunities in construction. Students can choose from four career pathways: • Cabinetry, Millwork, and Woodworking • Mechanical Systems Installation and Repair • Engineering and Heavy Construction • Residential and Commercial Construction Each pathway focuses on how things are planned, designed, and built, with lots of hands-on, project- based, and work-based learning. By following these pathways, students gain real-world experience and a strong foundation that can lead to college, apprenticeships, or careers in the building and construction industry.
