Education, Child Development, and Family Services The Education, Child Development, and Family/Human Services sector prepares students for rewarding careers that focus on teaching, caring for others, and supporting families and communities. These fields are in high demand and offer many opportunities to make a difference. Students can explore four career pathways: • Child Development – Learn the skills needed to work in child care and related fields. • Education – Build the foundation to become a teacher or educator • Consumer Services – Gain the management and customer service skills for careers that involve helping consumers. • Family and Human Services – Prepare for jobs that support families and provide social services. Programs combine classroom learning, hands-on projects, and real-world experience, along with opportunities to grow as leaders through organizations like Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). By following these pathways, students gain valuable knowledge, practical experience, and leadership skills to succeed in college, advanced training, or careers in education and human services.
