How to Become a Dual Enrollment Student

You will need the following to complete this form: • Your parent’s or guardian’s name, email address, and phone number • Your school official’s name, email address, and phone number (school counselor, principal, etc.) Submit Special Admit Form 5. Check Your Email for Confirmation and Enrollment Information Once your school officially approves and submits your Special Admit Form, it may take up to 5 business days for the Admissions Office to process it. After your Special Admit Form is approved, you will receive an email with instructions on how to enroll in your classes. As a Dual Enrollment student, you’ll be given, which means you can register for classes before many other students. Enroll in Classes You can sign up for classes online in eServices once your enrollment appointment window opens. Your enrollment appointment is the earliest date and time you’re allowed to register, and you can find it listed in your eServices account. Dual Enrollment students can even take classes at more than one Los Rios college. To get started, just log in to eServices and follow these steps: • Click Manage Classes. • Click Add Another College. • Follow the instructions to add the college where you want to take classes for the selected term. Pay Your Fees After you enroll in classes, don’t forget to check and pay your fees. As a Dual Enrollment student, your tuition fees and Universal Transit Pass (UTP) fees are waived (you don’t have to pay them). However, you are still responsible for other fees, such as the student representation fee—though you can choose to opt out of that one. To see how much you owe and make a payment, log in to eServices. From your dashboard, click on Financial Account, then Account Balance. Apply to a Los Rios College First, create an OpenCCC account using your personal email (or log in if you already have one). Then, fill out the online application for the Los Rios college you want to attend. When asked, choose “I’m enrolling in high school and college at the same time” - that’s how you let the college know you’re a Dual Enrollment student! Click on the links below to start your application or watch a quick how-to video for help.

Continuing/Current Students If you are already a current Dual Enrollment student, you don’t need to fill out the full CCCApply application again. Instead, each semester you’ll just complete a Supplemental Enrollment Form in eServices (click on the Tasks tile). This form asks you to review and update your contact information, education goal, and major, so your record stays up to date. Need More Information? Visit the Colleges Admissions Webpages: ARC | CRC | FLC | SCC Additional Information If you submit your application without a Social Security Number (SSN), be sure to contact the Admissions Office at the college you applied to. This will help speed up the processing of your application. You can email each of the colleges by clicking the links. ARC | CRC | FLC | SCC Set Up eServices and Los Rios Gmail eServices is Los Rios’ online student portal where students manage their information, records, classes, and more. After your application is processed, you will receive an email with your Los Rios student ID number (also known as a “W” number or “wID”). This is a seven-digit number preceded by a “W”; for example, W0000001. You will use your Los Rios ID and password to log in to multiple services, including Canvas, eServices, Los Rios Gmail, and accessing instructional lab computers. Need Help? Meet With a High School or Adult School Official You can start your Dual Enrollment application anytime, but be sure to meet with your school counselor before filling out the Special Admit form in Step 4. Let your counselor know ahead of time that you’ve applied for Dual Enrollment at the community college – that way, they’ll be ready to review and approve your form when it’s sent to them in Step 4.
