OMERSET, NJ — Jones Lang LaSalle announced that its proj- Site transformed into state-of-the-art headquarters Jones Lang LaSalle completes 15-month relocation for SHI International S

products and services and leader in the cloud computing industry—with the technical requirements of the its new data center. “This was a tremendous team effort and is a remark- able achievement for the Jones Lang LaSalle PDS group and SHI,” stated Jones Lang LaSalle vice president Scott Lesh, who serves as Market Lead representative for the firm’s PDS group in New Jersey. “This is an im- portant project that not only generated 500 construction

jobs, but will reverberate throughout the commercial real estate and technology industries and help solidify New Jersey’s position as a tech leader.” Last year, Jones Lang La- Salle represented SHI Inter- national in its purchase of the 420,000-square-foot facility, which is three times larger than SHI’s previous head- quarters in Piscataway, N.J., and houses nearly 1,000 em- ployees in a campus setting. The property features two, five-story towers connected on the main floor, as well as

a third ancillary building. The interior workspaces fol- low the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED guidelines, and the roof is equipped with solar panels capable of generating 500 kilowatts of electricity annually that could offset SHI’s power con- sumption by as much as 15 percent. The data center was built using a series of best-of- breed, high-performance components connected with an emphasis on performance, resilience, and redundancy. The project was designed by

the CornerstoneArchitectural Group and engineered by Becht Engineering, while con- struction was lead by Turner Construction and Unity Con- struction. Jones Lang LaSalle’s PDS group provides corporate and institutional clients withman- agement of design, construc- tion and relocation services to minimize risk and eliminate unnecessary cost. Project specialties include interior build-outs and base building construction on single ten- ant properties or large-scale multi-site portfolios. ■

ect and development services (PDS) group has completed a 15-month relocation data cen- ter project for SHI Interna- tional at 290 Davidson Ave. The PDS group managed every aspect of the relocation, which was one of New Jersey’s largest interior commercial renovations this year. The project included the com- prehensive infrastructure improvements that trans- formed a former AT&T site it into a state-of-the-art, world headquarters. Jones Lang LaSalle also assisted SHI —a fast-growing global provider of information technology FRANKLIN TWP, NJ —Rus- so Development, New Jersey’s leading developer of single-ten- ant data center space, gained approval to build its ninth data center development in the New York metropolitan area. The Greenfield site, located on 71 acres near Exit 12 off I-287, boasts a number of unique infrastructure improvements including direct access to multi- sourced 69kV sub transmission electrical service from PSE&G and direct connection to two sources of water providing unparalleled reliability for a chilled water solution. Russo Development’s in-house archi- tects and engineering profes- sionals designed the complex to meet the security needs of Russo’s niche clientele – pro- posed with enhanced berms and landscaping, with perimeter fencing that includes security gates with guard houses. “From our past work with very knowledgeable clients, we have learned the most profi- cient ways of addressing their needs,” said Doug Bartels, P.E., Vice President – Development. “We were able to design a project that discreetly fits into the Township’s development strategy while still encompass- ing our future tenant’s site and security needs.” The facilities themselves will be LEED certified – which will help to achieve Russo’s envi- ronmentally-conscious develop- ment objectives and maximize efficiency for future tenants. ■ Russo development receives approval for Somerset Technology Park
