BELFOR Property Restoration Unveils State-of-the-Art Command Center
It can be seen from quite a distance and the closer one gets, the more overwhelming it becomes. The new Command Center of BELFOR Property Restoration is basically an operational headquarters on BEL:FOR, one of the world’s largest disaster recovery companies, has taken their industry to the next level. The 53-foot long, 16-foot wide, two-story tractor trailer includes state-of-the-art technology including internet access along with a conference room complete with projector and high definition monitors. It can accommo- date 30 BELFOR team members during the most dire of situations providing an immediate stabilizing force. Because it is usually difficult to gain access where dis- aster may strike, BELFOR can take their Command Center right where the action is, positioning it near one of their 80 offices around the nation or because of their close affiliation with FEMA (Federal Emergency Man- agement Agency) as close as conditions will allow. The $1 million vehicle includes its own water, food sup- plies, sleeping quarters, executive suite, two satellite dishes, a galley and bathroom. When traveling, the second floor drops down and the sides back in. Cur- rently, the Command Center spends 6 months each year at BELFOR’s office in Exton, PA before heading to their Fort Worth, TX operation. The company is planning on adding a second Command Center soon.
