The calming and peaceful colours of Sue’s Hamptons paintings are the epitome of idyllic beach, with the soft sand fading out to serene blues. All the while the location is beautifully unspoilt and seemingly untouched, a perfect spot for both rest and restoration away from the overwhelming busy hustle and bustle. Sue’s minimalist interpretation of the location captures that cool and calm feeling that a beach can emanate, with fine detail found in the texture of the painting’s canvas and the delicate indication of soft brushstrokes across the surface.
