As the season progresses and the excitement builds, we look forward to welcoming you to the Cheltenham Festival to experience the thrill of ownership at the pinnacle of jump racing.

Our mission is to ensure your experience is the best it can be and to assist with that, this brochure sets out details on the race programme, the facilities we have to offer and what to expect from your visit here.

OWNERS INFORMATION We look forward to welcoming you to The Cheltenham Festival with your runner/s. We are delighted to offer owners with runners complimentary Owners & Trainers badges and lunches.

This brochure has been sent to the registered owner or syndicate / racing manager at the initial entry stage along side two car parking labels for the day(s) that you have a runner entered. For owners who may have multiple runners across the Festival, further car passes for other days that you have runners will be posted out as race entries close, please see the table on page 6 for reference.

We offer for owners to swap their complimentary lunches for up to 20 admission tickets to the racecourse, which include access to the Owners & Trainers Bar in the Princess Royal Stand. We understand the ownership comes in many different forms. As such we will always try to best accommodate our owners where possible. Access to the Parade Ring at the Festival is via an Owners and Trainers Parade Ring Badge only. These badges are race specific and only allow access for the race(s) that owners have a horse running in.

All owners with a runner on the day will be issued with an Owners and Trainers wristband which allows access to the Bar on the Ground Floor of the Tattersalls Pavilion and the O&T Bar in the Princess Royal Stand.

Please note the ROA, NTF, PJA, RCA, Jockey Club Racing Manager and Super Owner badges are NOT valid for the Cheltenham Festival and cannot be exchanged for additional badges .

BADGE COLLECTION

All tickets, badges and wristbands are available for collection from the Owners’ & Trainers’ Desk located at the North Entrance, which is the entrance that brings you in below the Parade Ring, closest to the Owners’ and Trainers’ car park.

Please note that you may be requested to present photo ID for the collection of tickets and badges from the Owners’ & Trainers’ desk.

• Badges will only be available for collection from the Owners Desk on the day that the horse is declared to run. • Badges are available to collect under the name of your horse(s), along with the individual name(s) booked.

Should you wish to collect tickets & badges for the following days of the meeting please contact our Owners & Trainers Manager in advance, Jennifer Doris, Jennifer.Doris@thejockeyclub.co.uk to arrange. Please note that no badges will be available to collect prior to the horse/s being declared to run.

For those who may be on site on the Sunday & Monday ahead of the Festival, and have a horse declared to run on Tuesday 10th March, badges will be available to collect from the Hall of Fame, between the hours of 10am – 2pm.

Box Holders – For Owners who are annual box holders or have a box on the day, we will be happy to arrange for your badges to be in your box on arrival, please notify the Owners and Trainers Team and they will be happy to make arrangements.

Helicopter Arrivals – We kindly ask that any owners arriving by helicopter let the Owners & Trainers team know so that they can arrange for your tickets and badges to be at the helipad for collection on arrival.

Ellenborough Park – Any owners who are staying at Ellenborough Park and will be arriving via the hotel’s private shuttle, please notify the Owners and Trainers Team so that we can have your tickets and badges in the correct location for collection on arrival.

TRAINERS Trainers with runners at The Cheltenham Festival will be offered a daily Trainers pin badge. Weekly badges will be issued as necessary.

TRAINERS WITHOUT RUNNERS

Trainers without runners are entitled to two complimentary tickets and wristbands to access the Owners & Trainers Bars at the Festival. Available to collect from the O&T Desk at North Entrance on arrival. Please note that these are only available to collect by the licensed trainers. Irish Trainers are asked to please contact the Irish Racehorse Trainers Association ahead of the Festival to arrange badges.

JOCKEYS Please not that PJA badges and passes are not valid for The Cheltenham Festival.

All Jockeys, both with or without a ride on the day will need to collect tickets and badges from the O&T Desk at North Entrance on arrival. Please note that photo ID may be required for the collection of any tickets or badges.

For Irish Jockeys or those who do not have a PJA car pass, parking labels will be available to collect in advance from the Hall of Fame on Sunday & Monday prior to the Festival. Cheltenham Reserves the right to offer additional Owners’ Badges at their discretion and subject to availability. Any requests for additional badges should be made in advance of the meeting. For Owners who wish to attend the Festival, even if their horse is not declared to run, we recommend that tickets are purchased in advance. If your horse is then declared to run, we will be happy to arrange a refund for the tickets you have purchased.

OWNERS & TRAINERS FACILITIES

We are pleased to be able to offer Owners and Trainers the choice of two dedicated dining facilities here at Cheltenham, with both the Tattersalls Pavilion and the O&T Bistro exclusively for those with runners on the day.

Those with access will have use of the facilities throughout the day. We kindly ask the lunch is booked by 4pm the day before racing via the online lunch booking form.

THE OWNERS’ & TRAINERS’ TATTERSALLS PAVILION RESTAURANT

Located on the 1st floor of the Tattersall Pavilion, this Marquee is situated below the Parade Ring and offers:

• A carvery style three course lunch with afternoon tea available from 3:45pm • Easy access to the Pre-Parade, Parade Ring and Unsaddling enclosure

• View of the Big Screen • TV and Betting facilities

Lunch is served from 11:30am until 3:30pm with afternoon tea available from 3:45pm.

Please note that in order to accommodate everyone who wishes to dine, tables in the Tattersalls Pavilion Restaurant will be allocated on a first come first serve basis and we are unable to offer the table for the day.

Subject to availability a limited number or additional lunches (up to 4 per runner) can be purchased at a cost of £165 per person. Please let the Owners’ & Trainers’ team know by 4pm the day before racing if you might require additional lunches.

THE OWNERS’ & TRAINERS’ BISTRO Located on Level 2 of the Princess Royal Stand, this facility offers:

• A three-course plated menu • Excellent views of the Course and Parade Ring • TV and Betting facilities

The Bistro Offers two sitting, please mark on the booking form your preference.

The timings are as follows:

• 1st Sitting 12:00pm – 1.30pm – to be seated by 12:30pm at the latest, please note that you will be requested to vacate your table at the end of the sitting. • 2nd Sitting from 1:45pm – to be seated by 2:15pm at the latest

For those dining in the 1st sitting, afternoon tea is available from 3:45pm in the Tattersalls Pavilion. Those in the 2nd sitting will have the option of having afternoon tea served at their table.

Availability in the Bistro is limited, and tables will be allocated offered on a first come, first served basis. Tables must be booked in advance.

THE SADDLER’S RESTAURANT - TATTERSALLS PAVILION

Located on the Ground floor of the Tattersall Pavilion, and exclusive for those with runners in the Feature race each day, this facility offers:

• A three-course plated menu • Afternoon Tea • Tables of 10 for the day • Easy access to the Pre-Parade, Parade Ring and Unsaddling enclosure

• View of the Big Screen • TV and Betting facilities

This facility is offered solely to those who have a runner in the feature race each day, as detailed below.

OWNERS’ & TRAINERS’ BARS

All owners with runners on the day and Trainers are able to enjoy our dedicated O&T Bars on Level 2 of the Princess Royal Grandstand and the ground floor of the Tattersalls Pavilion. These facilities provides a fantastic view of the course and a perfect space to relax or catch up with friends or trainers. Light refreshments will be available to purchase in the Bar for any owners who are not dining with us. Both the Tattersalls Pavilion and our O&T Bar & Bistro will have complimentary tea and coffee available through the day, pay bars, TV and betting facilities. VIEWING Owners and Trainers have two dedicated viewing areas. One on the balcony outside the O&T Bar on Level 2 of the Princess Royal Stand, the other on the stepping of the Main Grandstand. The latter is located at the end of the Main Grandstand closest to the Princess Royal Stand. Admission to this viewing area is via an Owners & Trainers Metal Pin Badge or Owners & Trainers Parade Ring Badge for the specific race only. WINNERS & PLACED CONNECTIONS Owners of winning horses will be invited to celebrate with a glass of champagne in the Hospitality Suite adjoining the Weighing Room and as well as any awarded Trophy, they will also receive a complimentary recording of the race and a photograph of the winning horse. Owners of placed horses down to 4th will be invited to celebrate with a glass of champagne and to watch a replay of their race.

TAXIS If you are arriving by taxi, please let us know in advance, as the taxi drop off area is not located near our Owners’ and Trainers’ Desk. We will be happy to arrange for any tickets or badges to be left for collection from the Hospitality collection point in the Hall of Fame.

PARKING Parking for all connection is in the Owners’ & Trainers’ Car Park located by the North Entrance. Entrance to the car park is via Southam Lane or from the Evesham Road, please follow the Blue route to reach the Owners’ & Trainers’ Car Park. Access to the Owners’ & Trainers’ car park is via a Cheltenham parking label or PJA car label. Cheltenham car parking labels will be posted out at entry stage to the registered owner or syndicate manager. For owners who may have multiple runners across the Festival, further car passes for other days that you have runners will be posted out as race entries close, please see the table on page 6 for reference. Cheltenham Spa Train Station is just a 40 minute train journey from Birmingham New Street and Bristol Temple Meads.

Cheltenham Spa Station to Cheltenham Racecourse

• 15 minute drive • 60 minute walk

A shuttle bus service is in operation from the station to the racecourse for all four days of the Festival.

HELICOPTER INFORMATION

Cheltenham Racecourse welcomes private and chartered helicopter landings at the Air Charter Service Helipad.

The Helicopter landing area is situated to the North East of the racecourse. Prior notice is required for landings and insurance indemnities completed. Aircraft owners must book in via email info@helipad.co.uk or dial 01202 835 385 and receive a brief before landing permission is issue.

No landings will be permitted within 30 minutes of the first race, and no take offs will be permitted until 30 minutes after the last race, except by permission of the Clerk of the Course.

We do not have facilities for fixed wing aircraft. Full aircraft facilities are available at Staverton 5 n.m from the course.

Owners and Trainers arriving at the course via helicopter must please notify the Cheltenham Owners Desk on 01242 537602 or email Cheltenham.Owners@thejockeyclub.co.uk in order to arrange for your tickets and badges to be available for collection from the Heli-field entrance.

RACING INFORMATION

STABLING John Morrison is the Stable Manager and is available to assist with any stabling arrangements. Stable and staff accommodation can be booked via the online booking form: https://www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/cheltenham/owners-and-trainers/information-for-racing-and-stable-staff/booking-form/

RACING STAFF ACCOMMODATION For Racing Staff looking after runners we are able to provide accommodation either on site at Hunters Lodge or in temporary accommodation, or in University Accommodation adjacent to the Racecourse. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any U-18’s.

Those attending with runners are offered a complimentary meal on the day they have a runner, as well as free tea and coffee. There is also a facility within the stable yard where those attending with runners can help themselves to hot drinks.

HORSEBOXES Horsebox entry to the stables is off New Barn Lane (B4075), please follow the red route, AA signs will mark all major approach routes and will include signage for horseboxes. BEST TURNED OUT PRIZES We are pleased to offer Best Turned Out Prizes to grooms for every race here at Cheltenham. All races at the Festival have a minimum BTO prize of £200. Best Turned Out winning grooms will also receive a picture of them with their horse in the parade ring after the race day.

GALLOPS Exercise facilities for horses engaged to run and staying overnight are open daily during race meetings from 7.30am to 9.30am but please check with the Stable Manager in case weather conditions dictate alternative arrangements. The gallops are located in the centre of the course and is signposted from the horse walk. CROSS COUNTRY RACES Horses entered in the Cross Country race, which haven’t run in this type of race previously, will need to school over selected fences as required by the race conditions. DRESS CODE There is no dress code at Cheltenham. However, we advise that you dress for the weather, which can be unpredictable.

Raceday photography is available to view via the website www.racedayphotos.co.uk and Wendy can be contacted on email, info@racedayphotos.co.uk CHELTENHAM EVENT MOBILITY Through Event Mobility Charitable Trust we are able to provide electric scooters and manual wheelchairs for the use of disabled, elderly and mobility impaired visitors to Cheltenham. These can be collected from beside the North Entrance.
