And just like that, it’s December! Here in the Northern Hemisphere, we experience the shortest day of the year, which is emphasized by the fact that it is so dark outside at 5:00 p.m. It’s a month filled with holidays celebrated by many different cultures and religions, each bringing their own rituals and traditions. While for many, it can be a time of joy, for others, it is a time of difficulty as we mourn the loss of a loved one. For many of us, the need for connection and community may be more important than ever as we try to figure out how to get through the season, let alone anticipating our next steps in life. You don’t have to face doing any of this alone. Maybe it’s the right time to attend one of The Hummingbird Club events and feel the support of others who have walked in your footsteps. Our members have a shared understanding and bring unique experiences to the surface in support of each other as we take steps to emerge, grow and thrive anew.
