StreetScene-Dec25

rear fenders were widened, the wheelwells tubbed, the rear bumper was widened, Kindig-It Design door handles installed, Hagan lights were slipped in place, hourglass running boards were fabricated, a Hagan side open hood hinge system installed, and Bob Drake swan mirrors were hung. After Rock it Rods fin- ished the body mods, they straightened everything out, and laid down the simply endless PPG tri-coat Romanesque Crimson over a charcoal gray metallic. The look is finished off with 18/20-inch Foose Flamingo wheels wearing Nitto rubber. Lyle filled in the interior with a B&M Quicksilver shifter, a Rock it Rods custom center console, Kenwood tunes with Polk speakers, Classic Instruments gauges, and Chris Snowden seats. LB Upholstery then covered every-

thing in two-tone tan saddle leather before the Ron Francis wiring was installed. I loved the LaSalle when I first saw it at the Quad Cities Nationals. Harley Earl thought of a LaSalle as a sporty Cadillac and that’s everything this LaSalle has become. Lyle wanted something completely different and it’s absolutely that! What’s crazy, this isn’t the only “so cool I had to shoot it” late ‘30s LaSalle that hit the highways this year. They are not even close to the same car (it’s in our Northeast coverage), but two in the same year usually means a bunch next year and if next year is gonna be filled with stunning LaSalle driv- ers I can’t wait. Of course, I loved seeing Lyle all over America this year and can’t wait to see what wonder- ful memories the trio make in the years to come. DECEMBER 2025 57
