T HE K I N G ’S B U S I N E S S tim a message which, (if he had not already accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour,) would make th e way of salva tion clear to him. We felt th a t though the nu rse was no t a Christian, God would bless th e tru th thu s given and m ight even bless and make clear to th e nurse as well, th e way to God. Not know ing b u t 'th a t he m ight have accepted the Lord afte r th e last con versation we had w ith him and which had seemed to deeply impress him, we in structed th e nurse first of all to ask him if he remembered th e la st conver sation we had w ith him about his sp irit ual condition, and second if he had yet accepted Jesu s Christ as his Saviour. The nurse said th a t he was delirious ■much of the tim e b u t th a t during a lucid in terval she asked him th e desired questions and his message given shortly before he passed away was, “ Yes, I do remember th a t la st conversation and you may tell them th a t I have received Jesu s Christ as my Saviour.” JAMES YAUS, Supt. The P ow er of P ra y er A young woman from a home where C hristian train in g and influence were unknown, accepted Christ as h er Sav iour and su rrendered h er life to Him. Then her troubles W ORK OF began. She received B IB LE WOMEN nothing b u t dis couragem ent from th e members of h er family. No m atter w hat she did, it seemed to be th e wrong th ing and many tim es she was sorely tempted to give up. She was asked to join a Bible Class and as th e tru th s of th e Book were revealed to her, she found th a t th e re she could find th e solu tion of h er p articu lar problem as well as every o ther problem. She learned th e value of prayer and began praying definitely for the family. The atmos phere of th e home is entirely changed now and th e re is sympathy where th ere was ridicule. She is claim ing the

prom ises of God for the conversion of h er people. I am th ank ing God today for the news th a t comes from a far away city of an answered prayer. F o r days and weeks did our class join a, young wife and her mother-in-law in prayer for the salvation of her husband. Today comes a message from far away th a t God has answered, and the young man has received Christ as His Saviour and has confessed Him by associating himself publicity w ith God’s people. A w orker was asked to call on a woman who was a skeptic, and she made th is fact known very quickly, bu t was courteous and pleasant in h er man ner, and afte r a sho rt conversation asked th e w orker in. During th e con versation she told of a C hristian home and parents, and rem arked th a t if her p aren ts could know of her present a tti tud e tow ard God, they would rise from th e grave. She was given appropriate Scripture, and th e worker left w ith a prayer th a t she m ight be led into the light, for she seemed an honest skeptic. She asked the w orker to call again, bu t said it would be impossible for her to believe th e Bible. Several la ter calls were made covering a period of over two years, when she said one day, she would give all she had if she could believe th e Bible, for she was far from satisfied w ith her life as it was. God was answering prayer and h er h eart was yielding to His spirit. Then and th e re she prom ised to read th e gospel of John and pray th e infidel’s prayer, “Oh God, if th e re is a God, teach me thy will and I will do it; Show me w hether Jesus Christ is thy son or not, and if he is, I will accept Him as my Saviour and Lord, forsake my sin. and confess Him as such before the world.” Of course you know th e rest, for she came out fully into th e blessed light, and a more earn est personal worker cannot be found. She is not having an easy time, for all her friends and asso ciates are skeptics, bu t she sta rted in
