The priorities of the Barstow Unified School District Governance Team are to maintain continuous improvement in student learning and achievement in order that all students meet or exceed the California Content Standards. To promote a district culture of common beliefs, equity and excellence while increasing community engagement and outreach across the district. The Governance Team strives to expand the leadership capacity of the Board and among all district staff.

You should contact the school board when you have concerns or questions about the district’s policies, budget, school programs, or safety issues. It's also a good idea to reach out if you want to participate in public meetings, share ideas, or provide feedback about your child’s school. For specific personal issues, like student discipline or individual school matters, it's often best to first contact the school or district administration. Skyline North students—Celine Cahill, Melody Ramirez, Dylan Hernandez, and Aubriana Robb—highlighted a busy start with celebrations, PBIS Gold Recognition, and a No Referral Party. Upcoming activities include a school garden, Fall Festival, community service, and dress-up weeks for Bully Prevention and Red Ribbon Week. They’re also improving in reading, writing, and math with tutoring and assessments, all while having fun and showing good citizenship.
