A MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR

As we approach the final months of 2025, I feel immense pride in what our community has achieved throughout the year. Sunrise continues to thrive as a City filled with compassion, empathy, and charity. This year has been marked by fantastic milestones, with even more to come before we welcome the new year. One of our most exciting developments is the reopening of the beautifully renovated outdoor Sunrise Amphitheater on the City Hall campus, adjacent to our new parking garage. This venue is set to inspire a new era of community building by bringing residents together for live concerts, cultural showcases, and an exciting lineup of special events, including even more spectacular drone shows for the whole family to enjoy. Another significant highlight for our community is the unveiling of our beautiful, newly redesigned Grand Ballroom, now known as Signature Sunrise . This versatile space is ideal for a variety of events, including weddings, family gatherings, corporate functions, and special events like our beloved annual Taste of Sunrise and Comic Con . We hope you will consider Signature Sunrise for your next event! And, of course, we can’t forget our hometown Florida Panthers! As they raise their second consecutive Stanley Cup banner at Amerant Bank Arena, the Cats continue to make history and elevate Sunrise’s recognition globally as a premier destination. We join together in wishing them a great new season, and looking forward to a three- peat. Go Cats! Our commitment to supporting residents in need has remained unwavering throughout the year. Through quarterly food distribution events and collaborations with local organizations, we reflect the heart and compassion of our city: neighbors caring for one another.

As we move into fall, I invite you to take part in the vibrant community events happening throughout Sunrise. Our popular free Tunes ‘N Trucks concert series will return on Friday, October 10, featuring live music and delicious food trucks in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. We are also looking forward to beloved events such as the Trick or Trot 5K and Kids’ Dash on Saturday, October 18, our Boo Bash at City Park on Saturday, October 25, and the lively Cultural Festival on Saturday, November 8, which celebrates the rich diversity that makes our city unique. I hope you and your family are able to spend quality time together as we welcome in the holiday season with winter festivities. Our annual Light Up the Holidays on Saturday, December 6 now features free admission to Winter Wonderland . We look forward to seeing you there! On behalf of the City Commission, I wish you and your family a joyful holiday season filled with health, happiness, and togetherness. While the year may be winding down, a bright new chapter awaits us in Sunrise.
