Piano Laureate Recitals
‘His Vallée d’Obermann by Liszt is an exciting rendition of the great tone poem, with well-shaped, sensitive melodies and blazing octaves at the climax… Here Koryakin play less to the flashy side of the piece and more to the nuances, yet he misses none of the flash.’ – Fanfare
‘The performance is strong, and [Rizikov]’s attention to its architecture brings a new freshness to the piece. Here the tension works beautifully, and her emotionally ladened playing brings out a revelatory greatness I had not previously attributed to it.’ – American Record Guide
‘[Panfilov] plays the notes almost always accurately and cleanly, and brings to each piece a good degree of musicianship and sensitivity.’ –Fanfare
CRITIC’S CHOICE

‘It is exciting as well, especially in the unbelievable hands of this pianist.’ – American Record Guide
