announced that Ken Liu, Chief Ex- ecutive Officer of ND Paper, has been named TAPPI/PIMA Execu- tive of the Year.

Among the highest honors be- stowed by TAPPI and PIMA, the Executive of the Year Award is pre- sented to senior-level executives in the pulp, paper or converting industries for excellence in management and outstanding contributions to the industry as a whole. Ken Liu

Liu leads the daily operations for the U.S. division of Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings) Limited, the largest containerboard produc- er in China and Asia with $10 billion annual sales. Headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois, ND Paper serves a global customer base that includes retailers, publishers, packaging converters and commercial printers for pa- per needs, and manufacturers who require pulp. Prior to his position as CEO of ND Pa- per, Liu served as Vice Chairman at Ameri- ca Chung Nam (ACN), Nine Dragons’ sister company and primary supplier. For 15 years, ACN has been America’s largest exporter by container volume and recycles millions of tons of recycled paper every year. As Vice Chairman at America Chung Nam, Liu oversaw corporate development, market strategy and general management. He was previously a consultant at PwC where he advised leading technology, tele- com, and banking companies. Liu attended Columbia Business School and graduated cum laude when he earned his Artium Baccalaureus (Bachelor of Arts) in government from Harvard University. The award will be presented during TAP- PICon April 28-May 1 in Cleveland, Ohio.
