Riley claimed 4th in the U16 after a tactical race that prevented him from breaking away, with Louis Audeau and Arthur Brown finishing 9th and 16th, respectively. Our U16 and U20 time trial teams both placed 3rd, with younger riders stepping up to fill the ranks. The Southern Tour in Seddon was a highlight, with Harrison Tapper and Riley Crampton winning their overall titles in the criterium, road race, time trial, and hill climb over two days. Will Crawford placed 3rd in the U17 section in his first year in the age group, while Jonty Gray and David Wayne finished 8th and 9th, respectively, in their first U20 Southern Tour. At the National Championships, Harrison Tapper capped off a remarkable season by winning the U15 road race, with Wilbur Talbot 10th, just seconds behind. Harrison was 3rd in the points race, and Wilbur placed 6th. Riley Crampton

finished 7th in the U16 road race in a sprint and placed 3rd in the points race. Louis Audeau, also in the U16 road race, finished 34th. Will Crawford finished the U17 road race in 15th spot, close behind the top three, while Oscar Talbot placed 19th in the U20, again by a narrow margin. In the U20 team time trial, a mixed-age group finished 7th, highlighting the boys' versatility.

Looking forward to 2025, we have a core of young, talented riders with strong potential to grow into leading senior cyclists over the coming years.

MiC: Craig Walker This year, 18 boys joined road cycling, participating in Monday gym sessions, Wednesday inter-school races, long Saturday group rides, and various regional and national events. We welcomed coach Craig Oliver, who shared his high-level racing experience, helping team members to develop their skills. The Saturday rides also fostered a supportive atmosphere, with experienced riders mentoring the less experienced. The team consisted of mostly Years 9–11 riders, presenting both

Their strong performances highlighted the potential in coming years, with regular top-three finishes in local and national competitions. In the Christchurch Schools Cycling competition in Tai Tapu, the boys consistently improved during the season, despite some rain-affected races. In individual points, Harrison Tapper placed 4th overall and 1st in U16, while Riley Crampton was

5th overall and 2nd in U16. Each team member contributed to College’s 3rd place in the overall open school points. The South Island Championships at Ruapuna brought further success. In the U15 time trial, Wilbur Talbot was 1st, with Harrison Tapper less than a second behind in 2nd place, while Cooper Godfrey was 17th. Riley Crampton won the U16 time trial, and Oscar Talbot was 8th in the U20. In the U15 road race, Wilbur won again, with Harrison overcoming mechanical issues to
