Day 5: Jungle cruise Cruise to Pitas Oxbow Lake to watch pygmy elephants and monkeys at play and enjoy an afternoon cruise. Day 6: Sabah Tea Resort Transfer to the Sabah Tea Resort in Rana, for a stay surrounded by unspoiled forest and a working tea plantation. Day 7: Kinabalu National Park & Poring Hot Springs Explore the tea plantation and learn about the product of rainforest tea before journeying to the famous Poring Hot Springs. Day 8: Kotu Kinabalu Journey into the UNESCO-listed Kinabalu National Park. Enjoy a gentle, scenic hike, before pausing at the park’s headquarters, with its beautiful Mountain Garden Collection, then continue to the Shangri La Rasa Ria Resort where you will stay for the remainder of your tour. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure at the resort. Days 9-11: Days at leisure Enjoy three more glorious days at leisure at the resort or enquire about optional excursions including a Mari Mari Cultural Village visit. Day 12: Kota Kinabalu - Kuala Lumpur Transfer to Kota Kinabalu airport for your flight to Kuala Lumpur, where you’ll catch your connecting overnight flight to the UK. Day 13: Kuala Lumpur - UK Early morning arrival in the UK.

Days 1-2: UK - Borneo Fly overnight from the UK to Sandakan in Borneo. On arrival, meet your guide and transfer to the Sabah Hotel. Day 3: Rainforest Discovery Centre & Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary Today, visit the Rainforest Discovery Centre. Enjoy a guided walk along raised platforms on the rainforest floor, then head up into the canopy where you will have a bird’s-eye view of this wonderful environment. After lunch at a local restaurant, your tour continues to the Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary. Day 4: Borneo’s orangutans, sun bears, and river cruise Visit the world-renowned Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Watch the feeding of the primates and stroll through the forest on the marked trails, before visiting the Sun Bear Conservation Centre. You’ll then head further into the jungle for a stay on the bank of the languid Kinabatangan River, at the Borneo Natural Bilit Resort, with its hardwood walkways and its riverside cabins.
