second-degree murder charge in the 2010
death of Danny Trineer, a 32-year-old
Kilmar man.

Attorney Julie Bourgeois argues that the
judge erred in his ruling and that the 27-
year-old César should stand trial for
first-degree murder.
The appeal is to be heard April 26.

Ontario Provincial Police has increased
patrols and enforcement on Highway
417. During the first weekend of the
March break, officers conducted three
days of enforcement totalling 12.5 hours
using an O.P.P. aircraft to intercept
violators on the 417.
During that weekend, 174 provincial
offence notices were given out to
motorists. The offences varied from
speeding, failure to move left for
emergency vehicles, driving while their
licences were suspended drivers and

people across the country.
