Rockland resident, Tina Burns, crowned her 25-year career with the military with a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. The Commanding Officer of the 832 Air Cadet Squadron was awarded the medal in recognition of her involvement with the air ca- dets program and “her pride in the program” as a way to develop camaraderie and citizenship among young people. Captain Burns received her medal from Brigadier General J.R. Giguere CD at a special ceremony held at the CF Base St. Jean-sur-Riche- lieu, QC on January 18, 2013. The 832 Air Cadet Squadron holds its activities at the Jean-Marc Lalonde Arena in Rockland.
