ayreville, NJ — USA Architects was honored during USGBC NJ’s 10th Anniversary Gala & Awards Dinner at the new Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City for their par- ticipation in the design and construction of the Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL), an 88,000 s/f school for autistic and multiply disabled stu- dents in Sayreville. Not only is it the first public school in the state to gain LEED Platinum certification (the highest of four certification levels), it is the first special needs school in the country to do so. The firm designed the build- ing collaboratively with the Middlesex County Regional Educational Services Com- mission. “They are strong advocates of sustainability,” principal Peter Campisano said of the Commission who operates CLL and six other facilities. “Designing to the highest environmental standards was vitally important to the health and well being of its severely autistic and multiply dis- abled and preschool disabled ROBBINSVILLE, NJ — Mercury Solar announced completion and interconnec- tion of Bind-Rite Robbins- ville’s 1.2 Megawatt (MW) solar energy system. The 1.2MW solar energy system consists of approxi- mately 4,500 solar panels and is expected to generate over 1,480,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) annually. This annual production is equivalent to recycling 4,470,050 alumi- num soda cans and planting
