4. u Turn your guide bar over to equalize bar wear. 5. u Dress the rail, always dressing from the bar tip to the bar mount.
Note: If using a grinding wheel, direct debris towards tail, then clean out grooves. Grinding debris can cause the nose components to wear quickly or jam.

6. u On sprocket-nose guide bars, check for clearance around the guide bar’s tip between the tops of rails and the chassis. Replace nose sprockets before cutters or tie-straps contact the chassis.
